A short story by Shakil Ahmmed (Joney's favourite ring)

Joney is a student of class ten. He is very attentive to his study. He is very hard working too. One day when he was coming back from school, he lost his ring. He loved his ring very much. He brought that ring from a village fair. Though the price of the ring was very few, he loved his ring very much. He noticed the place where the ring was dropped. So, he started searching the ring. Searching three hours, he noticed that the sun is about to set. Then he went home. But, the ring was too favourite to him that he went to the place with a lamp to find out the ring again. That time he was also failed. The next morning, he called all his village friends to search the ring. Noticing this the village people thought that the ring would be very costly. That made them interested to search the ring. On the other hand, Joney is very sad losing his ring. Joney declared $1000 for the ring. There was a greedy people on this village. He also tried to find the ring. After searching ten days, the greedy man got the ring. Then he went to Joney and told him to give $2000 for the ring. Joney was surprised to see his greedyness. Then Joney said I don't want the ring although the ring was very favourite to him. Then the greedy man went to a goldsmith to sell the ring. The goldsmith told the price of he ring is only $0.2 and it is not made by gold. Then the greedy man was too disappointed to explain. So, never measure love by money or price. Love is beyond money or wealth. Love is incomparable and it can be for anything.
