As I was walking home yesterday, a small man with a long, pointed beard and only one arm stopped me and asked me the way to ‘Nur Manjil’. I was very surprised, because that was my own house. I asked him who he was. He did not answer but asked me if I knew the location. I then told him that ‘Nur Manjil’ was my own home. Having heard this he stared at me for a while and said to me, “Are you Titu?” I was very surprised with his sudden question and asked him how he knew my name. “Your face resembles your father’s face” he said. “It is I who am your lost uncle.” He then hugged me tightly with his bosom and started crying like a little baby. I hurriedly back home along with my uncle. All of us were very happy to see my long lost uncle that day at home.

Once upon a time there was a king called Midas. He was extremely fond of gold. Although he had a lot of it, he wanted more. He thought if he had the golden touch, he would be the happiest man in the world. Then and there the wish god granted his wish. One day while he was sitting in the garden, an apple fell from the tree, lie touched it and instantly the apple turned-into gold. He became so glad and went to the palace. He embraced his daughter in joy but instant the girl turned into gold. Whatever he touched turned into gold. The King hated his golden touch so much that he sprinkled even the chairs and the tables and everything else that the fairy’s gift had turned to gold. Then he again prayed to the wish god to take away the golden touch. Kind wish god granted the king’s prayer and lifted from him the golden touch. King Midas took the princess again into his lap. She became normal. Then Midas gave up his greed. He realize always think very deeply before making choices, each choice you make has its own consequence so, make wise choices.

In this circumstance, a clever fox called a meeting of all the leaders of each animal species of the forest. Together they hit a plan to get rid of the ferocious lion. The next day, when the lion was searching for his breakfast, he found that all the animals were roaming around in a group, and the groups of big animals like elephants and buffaloes were guarding the smaller animals. Being alone the lion could not hunt any animal for breakfast. The same thing happened at lunch and supper. The lion starved for two days as the animals stayed united and strictly executed their plan. On the third day, the lion felt helpless and left the forest. The animals became very happy. Since then the lion was never seen in that forest.

Then the judge hit upon a plan. He gave each of them of them a stick of same length and told them to submit them to the court the following day. He told them that the person who had stolen the necklace, his stick would increase an inch. When they returned home, they kept their sticks as they were. But the servant who stole the stick shortened home, they kept their sticks as they were. But the servant who stole the stick shortened it by an inch. The next day when everybody submitted the sticks, it was found that one stick was short by an inch. Them the thief was detected and he was given punishment.

The first woman became very elated. He said, he said, “I’ m agreed with the decision.” Please give me my half.” But the second woman started howling. She told the king. “Don’t kill the baby. I don’t need my share. Give the baby to her.” The king understood the fact and give the baby to the second woman and the first woman was sent to prison.



Question 8. At one night the boy Bayazid was busy in studies. His ailing mother was sleeping. Suddenly she woke up and asked Bayazid to give her a glass of water. But he found no water in the pitcher……

Please take the glass and drink,” answered Bayazid with a smile. His mother drank water and blessed him.

He came near the lion. He took the lion’s paw in his hand and removed a big thorn from it. The lion was relieved of his pain. Andrecles remained there for some time. After that he started for his home. On the way he was caught by the people of his master. The master ordered his people to throw him into the lion’s cage. The hungry lion came rushing to Androcles bet he at once bent low at the feet of Androcles. It was the same lion whom he had helped. The lion then broke the cage and ran away with Androcles on his back.

Then the crow realized his foolishness and decided not to believe a flatterer again.
